This 3-day Tanzania safari follows a defined route through Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Zanzibar. The sequence of parks and areas gives the itinerary its character, while the day-by-day plan sets the pace for drives, stops and overnight stays.
The daily plan moves through Zanzibar to Central Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park to Karatu You’ll wake early for a sunrise game drive on the Serengeti, which offers you the best opportunity to see predators in action. You’ll also have the chance to see a stunning Serengeti sunrise as the rising sun seems to set fire to the savannah. After a late breakfast, it’s time to head to Ngorongoro. The drive is a game drive all of its own, and your driver will do his best to ensure you spot the Big Five, wildebeest migration, or whatever else your heart might desire along the way., Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar After breakfast, you’ll depart for Ngorongoro Crater, considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. You will get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint. Home to over 120 species of mammals including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in the world. It’s a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotami enjoying the cool water. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you’ll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa’s most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, cape buffalos, and more. You will have a picnic lunch by the park’s famous hippo pool before returning to Arusha then fly to Zanzibar..
